Automatic Meter Reading

An extremely valuable asset to the Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative is the automated meter reading (AMR) system we began installing in 2000. With this system, we have the ability to read any powered residential meter at any time, so we take hourly readings. This gives us up-to-date information to better analyze usage and determine which equipment best serves our members. It also gives members the ability to track usage using the MDM explorer.

Deposit Info

A Canadian Valley Electric member may be required to post a security deposit, calculated at one-sixth of the annual billing, which is equal to two months of bills. Deposits on Residential Accounts will automatically be refunded after a one-year anniversary date of the account showing a satisfactory payment history (in alignment with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission refund policy). Deposits for Residential Accounts, that do not qualify for early refund, and all Commercial Accounts are held until the discontinuance of electric service and the full settlement of the account.
